• The event marked the 10th annual gathering of the telecom tower sector in Latin America and it brought together Towercos, MNOs and key investors.
  • Luis del Valle, CRO at Atrebo attended the event to share synergies with telecom infrastructure leaders about the growth potential and evolution of towercos in the Caribbean and Latin America sector.

The latest event organised by TowerXchange, brought its 10th edition for the CALA region (Caribbean and Latin America) on the 11th and 12th of July of 2023, in The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.

TowerXchange Meetup Americas 2023 was attended by significant players inside the towerco ecosystem, including DigitalBridge, Phoenix Tower International, IHS Towers, Telesites, Highline, SBA Communications, Andean Telecom Partners, Mexico Telecom Partners, and more.

In this regard, this annual meeting provided specialised keynotes and panels with face-to-face discussions to address different topics, such as:

    • What’s next for the digital infrastructure in LATAM.
    • How are the towercos responding to changing investor priorities?
    • The evolution of the operator and its infraco relationship.
    • The digital transformation journey.
    • Transitioning into energy solutions.
    • Overcoming operational challenges to boost efficiency and accountability.
    • Urban densification challenges from 5G to in-building connectivity.

In addition, during the networking breaks our CRO Luis del Valle had the opportunity to share insights and discuss with top infrastructure experts about digitisation and automation of telecom infrastructure.

“Energy is going to be key as it’s a major area where we can reduce our customers’ costs. We must look into the 5G impacts on networks and be able to offer good services to our customers”.

Hermes Figueroa, Senior Director Sales Latin America at Phoenix Tower International.

Nowadays, the tower industry faces instability and challenges that are sometimes hard to deal with. Many researches have found out that applying automation and digitisation to your customers’ journey is key to stand out in the market.

That’s why we help Towercos and MNOs around the world to achieve operational excellence with our platform TREE.

“People want to invest in digital infrastructure. Towers remain the gold standard, but there’s more capital available than quality deals left on the table. That’s a challenge for the investors. And for MNOs you have to position your assets so that they’re attractive”.

Clayton Funk, Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey
