The best solution for Telco Sector

The adoption of IoT allows Telco companies, TowerCos and MNOs to anticipate incidents on their assets and infrastructure.

How IoT works

Using remote monitoring providing quality of service, improving the network availability while managing preventive and corrective maintenance, and collecting all the readings. It takes care of the infrastructure hassles and enables the creation of any kind of application on top (e.g., smart infrastructure, smart parking, air quality, traffic, smart waste management…).

LoRaWAN-Everynet-networks-iot

To reach a successful monitoring of massive IoT assets, we decided to partner with one of the market leaders developing solutions using LoRaWAN networks, Everynet.

Discover how TREE can simplify massive IoT Deployments

Massive registration

It allows massive registration, set up and OTA (over the air) configuration of devices.

Inventory creation

Inventory creation with customised attributes for each kind of sensor.

Installation/Deployment

Access to make the installation or deployment of different devices.

Collection and curation

Access to read all collection and curation, for end user apps via API.

Events and alert trigger

A certain change in a device's status can trigger an alert, visible on a map.

On map status visualisation

The site visualization is also applied to the sensors installed at a given location.

Operational Efficiency

Treating sensors as a real critical infrastructure

The present use case is aimed at exploiting the capabilities that the IoT asset monitoring offers for automatic update of parameters based on the messages sent by:

Devices from a LoRaWAN network
Real-time map display of their location and status on a map

Atrebo TREE is an open platform for asset and infrastructure management that includes more than 30 modules and associated processes.

The use case IoT Asset Monitoring, includes functionalities included in the following TREE modules:

iot-asset-monitoring-lifecycle

Global Module

Main repository and inventory of the sites that allows to have a complete view of each of the locations and it shows all the information related to it and all the associated business processes.

Inventory Module

Life cycle management of the infrastructure installed at a site which includes warehouse management and equipment warranties.

What is LoRaWAN™?

It is a specification for Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN), specifically designed for low power consumption devices operating in local, regional, national or global networks.

The LoRaWAN network standard addresses requirements characteristic of the Internet of Things, such as secure bidirectional connections, low power consumption, long communication range, low data rates, low transmission frequency, mobility and location services.

IoT asset monitoring

Business Objects

The main entities managed by TREE in the IoT asset monitoring integration are:

Locations

Site where the IoT device is located.

Devices

Connected to a LoRaWAN™ network.

Events

Records of events that can trigger actions.

Main repository and site inventory

Global Module

Site info summary

Consult all the information related to the site, from the contractual information of the property, financial information or the installed inventory in detail.

Site Hierarchy Definition

TREE's flexibility makes it possible to create locations with a defined hierarchical structure, so that a site can have a number of associated facilities.

Sensor info summary

All information related to the sensors installed in a location can be visualized and managed at any time, depending on your own needs.

Visualisation on the map

The site visualization capabilities of the TREE platform are also applied to the sensors installed at a given location.

Alerts on the Map

A certain change in the status of a device can trigger an alert that can be visible on a map of devices and locations based on a previously defined color code.

Inventory Module

01
Sensor type and dynamic attributes

By defining an inventoried sensor as a monitored device, we trigger the automatic update of its attribute values based on messages received from an external LoRaWAN network.

02
Sensor status

Designation of sensor states associated with criticality levels determined according to configuration.

03
Real time tracking

Automatic updating of data based on information received from the IoT network.

04
Sensor creation and deletion

The solution allows the registration and removal of devices in the IoT network itself from the TREE platform.

05
Sensor set up (over the air)

Configuration of device-specific parameters from TREE.

Events and alerts

Out of operational range and criticity
TREE’s constant monitoring of IoT devices makes it possible to display triggered events in real time on the map or in the inventory view. These events are automatically triggered if the configured values are outside the specified range.

Events: definition and history
Thanks to TREE’s customisation and configuration possibilities, it is possible to define events associated with a given inventory category. The event history allows auditing the IoT network globally or filtered based on certain parameters.

Event notification
The change of status of a device can automatically generate a notification that is sent via email or sms according to the desired configuration.

On map site and event criticity
Changing the status of a device can trigger colour or icon changes at both the location and sensor level.

Alert dashboard
The alerts are also displayed on a comprehensive dashboard.
