On 17th and 18th May, Atrebo, the Spanish specialist in digitalisation of critical infrastructures attended the event organised by TowerXchange, the independent community for networks operators, towers and investors in the telecommunications sector.
The main topic was mostly the monumental shift experienced in the European tower landscape since 2019, including forecasts of M&A, the new shape of the industry and the key trends observed in the sector.
During the discussions, our CRO Luis del Valle had the opportunity to meet renowned executives to share knowledge and hold discussions about the future of telco infrastructure management.
Specifically, this year’s Meetup big themes were:

- Digitalisation
- Core business optimization
- Non-traditional sectors
Consequently, the whole meetup was organised in different keynotes sessions of senior executives from companies such as: Vantage Towers, Cellnex, TOTEM, Huawei, or Freshwave, among others. Also, attendees had the opportunity to take part in networking refreshment breaks and listen to specific roundtable sessions led by a host.
In addition, during roundtables session III, the Global Head of energy at Cellnex, Marc Tosquella, talked about the forecasting of site power consumption and its growth. Similarly, other executives gave his views on topics of great interest: IoT, OpenRAN, carve outs, digitalisation, smart cities, 5G-rollouts…
To sum up, this year’s event has brought together a vast majority of European infrastructure experts from renowned companies interested in the automation of processes and new trends to boost the digitalisation of the telecom industry.
As expected, Atrebo is looking forward to attend the next TowerXchange Meetup Americas in order to reinforce its commitment to generate value for the future of the telecom sector.
