With the digitization of companies, it has been possible to evolve at all organizational levels, transforming internal and external processes and flows, and giving it a differential value, from which companies that have opted for digitization are already taking advantage of it today to adapt and improve the way of managing them.

Companies have developed as technological progress has been implemented in society, making the market demand these advances. As a result of this digitization of companies known as the “Digital Era”, advances such as Data Analytics emerged.

Data analytics is a technique that collects, inspects, purifies and transforms data in contemplation of highlight all the information that is very useful, in order to be able to elaborate conclusions that serve as support in decision-making and allow improving processes management. Definitely, we can obtain more detailed and verified information to facilitate strategies and build a path of more accurate decisions to reach the final objectives previously set.

Thanks to Data Analytics or its most popular expression ”Big Data”, companies benefit from better control of company resources, a better marketing strategy, cost reduction in processes, improvements in flows of companies, improvements in the products or services that are sold, stock reduction, commercial improvements and even new sources of income among others.

As a consequence of Data Analytics and the conclusions that are obtained from it, the term Business Intelligence emerged, which is the set of methodologies, applications and technologies that allow gathering, purifying and transforming data and information, for direct exploitation (reporting, dashboards, alerts …) or for analysis and conversion into knowledge or insights, thus supporting decision-making about the business.

With the appearance of Business Intelligence, a new stage has been entered, in the information age. More and more companies are adapting and transforming generating information, much of this information was unimaginable that we could achieve it years ago but that thanks to new technologies we can obtain it, making it possible to generate more in the future. In addition, companies have understood that obtaining data and transforming it into information can be an important monetary asset.
